Bahashem Soap Company, LLC was founded in 2012 after its founder, Diana Gaston, took her desire to live healthier and combined it with a new passion she gained during a date night soap making class. As a breast cancer survivor and mother of three sons who suffered with eczema, Diana had a hard time finding quality soaps that were skin safe. Most on the market were filled with harmful chemicals. So, she decided to create one of Richmond’s largest sources of handmade body products. Starting in the flea market, the business grew into a small brick & mortar store in the Manchester area of Richmond, Virginia and now a store in Chesterfield, Virginia.
The store name comes from our Hebrew roots. The name Ba-Ha-Shem basically means “In the name of God”. The name was selected to give honor and glory to the Most High Creator for all He has done to make all of this possible. Proverbs 3:6 – In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
